Biographies
Mehmet Şahin is Associate Professor in the Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul. He holds a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Applied Linguistics/TESOL from Iowa State University. His doctoral research focused on computer-assisted language learning and educational technology. His current research interests include Translation Studies, translation and interpreting technologies, machine translation, and translator and interpreter education.

Sevket Benhur Oral is Assistant Professor in the English Department at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He holds a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in educational foundations from Iowa State University. He started his career as a Deweyan pragmatist. He now focuses on contemporary issues in continental philosophy. His main research areas are social and philosophical foundations of education, Dewey studies, and contemporary European philosophy (phenomenology and new French thought).
